Hiring a climbing guide is one of the best ways to develop specific skills, climb many routes in a day, try rock climbing for the
first time, or just get to know an area new to you. Our guides provide a fun, relaxed, and informative environment for you or
your group to achieve your specific climbing goals.
Old-timers used to refer to the Moab area as “the Land of Standing Rocks”. Few places in the world
can compete with the amount of exposed (and climbable) rock found on the Colorado Plateau. The
challenges provided by this natural terrain seem to get our attention. Let the kids out of the car near any stone
formation and the first thing they try to do is stand on top of it! Humans seem to have a voracious thirst for
surmounting obstacles, whether 7 years old or 70. We ought to know—we can’t stay off those rocks either!
So, who better to share a rope with than those whose passion has become their full-time profession!

Beginner/Intermediate Climbing

If you are new to climbing, have climbed mainly in the gym or just need to brush up on you skills then
checkout our Beginner Rock Trip. You’ll receive essential instruction but with lots of time to climb, too.

If you already have a good handle on the basics, we’ll still cover the fundamentals but with emphasis on more
advanced techniques. Our Intermediate Climbing day will allow you to jump on more challenging routes and
master some of the more advanced skills, necessary to become a more competent desert climber.

Indian Creek

If you are  interested in climbing Moab’s most famous crack climbs, then a full day at Indian Creek is a must!
The absolute best place for jamming. This is your chance to get the beta on how to best use your
fingers, hands, feet, (and other body parts!) for upward progress. We’ll address gear placement, camming
device limitations, specialized shoes, hand taping, and more.

Visit our Towers section to get on one of those Standing Rocks!

Ascend monolithic features perched high on the rubble of other fallen spires. These adventures will allow you
to surmount features that were the goals of so-called lunatics only a decade or two ago.
High adventure, literally!
