We were initially hired in July 2010 to provide safety for 5 guys who wanted to fly into Blue John Canyon for the possibility of making a movie about Aron Ralston’s harrowing experience. That eventually turned into 6 months of work. While it was a most gratifying experience, it had many challenges that tested our patience for the world of Hollywood. Additionally, we faced a few dangers that could not have been anticipated and were, thankfully, managed with finesse and a little luck. Read More …
Mythbusters
This Discovery Channel favorite had two of my favorite things: big cliffs and whitewater! The cliff was 180’ tall and is in a place we use somewhat frequently when we need a close by big cliff. Read More …
The Worlds Toughest Expeditions with James Cracknell / Discovery UK
James Cracknell is a British rowing champion and double Olympic gold medalist (rowing), adventurer and Conservative Party politician…and a really tough guy. He was replicating William L. Manley’s discovery of Death Valley which more or less begins on the banks of the Green River, in Green River Wyoming. Read More …
Goldman Sachs/Josh & Xander Radical Media
With over 50 people involved in the shoot it was one of the more expensive and elaborate TV commercials I’ve been on. Read More …
Bear Grylls / Degree Deodorant-Masters of Movement / Freeride Entertainment

Miles Daisher / Degree Deodorant-Masters of Movement / Freeride Entertainment
After working with Bear we were asked by the Canadian film crew, Freeride Entertainment to join them as safety riggers for the next segment of Masters of Movement at Hellhole Bend on the Little Colorado River in Northern Arizona. Read More …
Lipovitan D / Unit One Productions (Japan)
This shoot involved creating a working wall where we could do falling stunts above a green screen, to replicate climbing on Castleton Tower. Another terrifying helicopter landing on Castleton Tower in high winds confirmed my love/hate for the machine. Green screens and CGI in post production made this look fantastic. Read More …
Dhani Jones / Sportsbook 360 / Spike TV
Former NFL football player Dhani Jones has done a world wide travel series, published a book on those experiences and gone rock climbing and mountain biking in Moab. Read More …
Canon Power-Shot Shoot
We received some outrageous artwork from a Japanese ad agency for this shoot and we had a fun time trying to replicate the illustrated “pics”. The climbing shot was supposed to be without ropes, curiously, we therefore used skinny harnesses worn under clothes. Read More …
